On July 16th, 2007 at 8:00pm Cora Elizabeth Hessel came to join the rest of us in the world. She was 11 lbs 3oz and 22 inches long.
Carrie had a rough go of it - a long day of labor and pushing only to end in a C-section. But it was all in the Lord's hands and He was gracious to us.

Congratulations on a beautiful daughter and the start of a wonderful new stage of life! You'll love being parents (when you're not pulling your hair out!) God's grace is exceedingly abundant for your new task. We're so excited for you! And we love the name you chose!!!! Our own Cora Ann will be 3 in October. The name fits her perfectly as she truly has made our hearts full. I’m sure yours are full as well.

CONGRATULATIONS TODD AND CARRIE. WE HAVE BEEN GETTING UPDATES ALMOST WEEKLY. WE ARE SO GLAD CORA IS HERE. WHAT A PRETTY NAME, TOO, THAT SHE IS GIVEN. CHILDREN ARE SUCH A BLESSING AND SUCH A WORRY. GOD HAS CERTAINLY BLESSED YOU WITH A BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL.

Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl. What an amazing thing - to be parents. I'm sure it's tiring too.
I thought "safely home" was amazing!! The Peretti-esque stuff I skipped, for the most part - but the book was incredible. I think all his stuff is great. I've been a bit skeptical of reading the little book - "the treasure principle" - didn't know what it was about, but books that size and in that format often disappoint me. now I look forward to reading it.
