Dietrich Bonhoeffer's little book,
Psalms: The Prayer Book of the Bible, was a pleasant summary of the Psalter as a guide for prayer. He is quite helpful in understanding the imprecatory Psalms and how we are to see them this side of the cross. In fact, the greatest asset of this book is how it points us to Christ as we look at the Psalms.
It is a good book and a very short read. Plus you get a brief overview of Bonhoeffer's life. Thanks Jon for loaning me the book!

Hi Todd! So great to hear from you again! Thanks for posting on my blog. So you are in Iowa now, eh? It would be fun to catch up sometime. The blog looks really interesting - I'm interested in the books on the reading plan!
Waiting for your next blog. Did you make it to the conference? It was fantastic!
